Updates on the NHERI REU and Summer Institute

Published on May 5, 2020

Given NHERI site closures and travel bans due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the in-person NHERI REU Program and the Summer Institute for Early Career Faculty have been postponed.

A virtual NHERI Workshop for Early Career Faculty will take place online June 29, 2020. This program will introduce faculty to NHERI resources as well as give an overview of the NSF proposal process and the CAREER award.

To introduce undergraduates to NHERI resources and the REU experience, an alternative virtual program will be held during the summer.

The ECO Committee is currently preparing features of the program and will communicate them to undergraduates interested in NHERI.

More details for both virtual programs will be posted in the DesignSafe Learning Center and will be communicated to the NHERI community via email. Thank you for your patience during these challenging times.
