NHERI Experts Available in the Face of Hurricane, Landslide, and Flooding Threats

As Tropical Storm Erin is forecast to strengthen into the 1st Atlantic hurricane of 2025, NHERI research engineers and scientists are readying their instrumentation and reconnaissance teams for deployment. When natural hazards such as hurricanes, wind storms, landslides, and related flooding strike, relevant experts from the NSF-supported NHERI facilities are available to meet with journalists. Experts are able to discuss infrastructure damage, risk reduction techniques, post-event data reconnaissance, community impacts, and ways NSF-funded engineering and scientific research makes our nation more resilient.
