Advancing Light-Payload Seismic Isolation through Cyber-Physical Testing with NHERI

NHERI Presents Series

August 19, 2026 | 1:00pm - 1:30pm CT

About the Webinar

Passive protective measures, such as rolling pendulum seismic isolation systems, have shown promise for mitigating earthquake damage to vital equipment housed within buildings. However, the multi-directional behavior and performance of these systems incorporating building-isolator interactions is not well understood. This presentation discusses how full-scale cyber-physical tests at the NHERI Lehigh EF advanced the modeling and evaluation of these systems.
