Description:
A large-scale physical hydraulic model was constructed in the Large Wave Flume (LWF) at the NHERI-EF at Oregon State University. We measured water surface elevations, horizontal and vertical pressures, and horizontal and vertical forces on an idealized structure. The structure was designed so that it could be incrementally elevated above the bed, and wave conditions were generated when the structure's base was elevated from at grade to 0.28 cm above the still water level (0.40 m).
