Description:

The University of Canterbury and industry affiliates have collaborated to develop repair costs for earthquake-damaged building components in New Zealand, current in 2021. The deliverables for this project have been provided electronically and comprise two Excel spreadsheets and a PDF: "NZ_repair_time_&_cost_master_20210119.csv" provides a summary of component damage states, repair methods, repair costs, and repair time. "NZ_repair_time_&_cost_breakdown_20210119.csv" provides a breakdown of costs for each repair method. "Technical description.pdf" provides a technical description of key aspects of the work undertaken. The repair methods have been developed on the basis that they are approaches that are deemed to be commonly adopted by the industry. They are intended to be suitable for loss-estimation research purposes and should be not interpreted as recommended methods for any specific “real world” application.
