Description:
Experimental test data from this project has been used to develop, calibrate and validate computational models to simulate ductile crack initiation and propagation in steel structures under ultra-low cycle fatigues. The resulting models can be used in fundamental and applied research to evaluate earthquake-induced fracture limit states in steel structures. The experimental test data can be used by researchers to calibrate and validate alternate computational models, which they have developed.
