This project refers to reconnaissance data collected from the 2023 Kahramanmaras, Turkiye Earthquake Sequence as part of Earthquake Engineering Research Institute Learning From Earthquakes program (EERI LFE) and Social Science Extreme Events Research (SSEER) Network. Data in this repository covers the engineering and social sciences. A mission was completed in October 2024 (10 months after the earthquakes) to study the reconstruction (engineering) and organizational recovery (social sciences) from these events. For the study of reconstruction, photos from the mission are shared with relevant metadata (such as latitude and longitude). For the study of organizational response to recovery, the interview questionnaire and de-identified notes from interviews are also shared. Data can be reused to inform similar research studies and further analysis. For any questions, please fill out the feedback form to contact the creators.
