Description:
The US Geological Survey (USGS) is collaborating in a seismic-imaging experiment using Thumper with personnel and equipment from the NEES facility at the University of Texas at Austin. The overall goal of this experiment is to provide high-resolution images of the sediment structure in the Santa Rosa Plain, California, which will in turn provide key constraints on earthquake hazard assessments in this growing urban center set in a seismically active region.
